STELLAN

Portland, Maine  ·  Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Housewares, art, and collectibles in Portland, Maine.

Women-owned and family-run. Ceramics, textiles, lighting, original art, and the rooms we design around them.

Our Philosophy

Simplicity, longevity, and a sense of place. We source pieces with lasting beauty and meaning.

Our Mission

Rooted in a working waterfront.

Portland, Maine is a community where the tides set the pace. Fishermen, dockworkers, artists, and makers coexist here in a balance of industry, creativity, and tradition, and the working waterfront is the Old Port's heartbeat. STELLAN was established to honor those traditions and the people who support this way of life.

We are a collective of artisans committed to sustainability, and not only the environmental kind. STELLAN is equally dedicated to social, economic, and cultural sustainability, and to a more conscious way of doing business.

Up Close

There's a whole world in the weave.

We carry natural fibers chosen for how they wear and where they come from. Move across the cloth to look closer. Each one chosen by hand, and made to last.

Textiles

A shelf that is never quite the same.

Linen, cotton, wool, and waffle weave, in colors that shift with the season. We choose every piece by hand, for how it feels in a room and how it wears over the years. New styles come in often, so there is always something you have not seen. Come run your hand across it.
